I'm Yann Secouet, a motion designer based in North Yorkshire. Originally from France, though I've been in England most of my life.

After studying graphic design, I was invited to train at McCallum Kennedy D'Auria in London, which led to Kemistry Design, title sequences, broadcast work and eventually commercial directing — for brands including SAAB, Kikkoman, Toyota and Bentley. I co-founded production company 76 Ltd, and built BCF Studio as somewhere to properly test ideas and shoot in-camera effects.

Whether it's animation, 3D, code or in-camera work, it all comes back to motion design. I'm a nerd about the tools and the technology, but what actually drives me is solving the problem — how something should move, how it should feel, and the most efficient way to get there.
